The crazy boy loves to shove things up his nose. Particularly kidney beans and green beans. One night it took a good sneeze to get the kidney bean out of his right nostril.
He loves to be mischevious when I am in the shower. He can reach the top drawer in the bathroom (it is the sole drawer that isn't childproofed). He reached into the drawer, pulled out Walker's watch, and was dangling it over the toilet. When I realized what was going on, I jumped out of the shower to save the watch. As soon as I got close, he dropped it. Luckily, with my experience as a nurse, retrieving a watch from the toilet wasn't devastating. However, telling Walker what had happened was!
A few weeks ago in sacrament meeting, Corbs was being a maniac boy and wouldn't sit still. He was so noisy and disruptive, I asked Walker to take him out. (I would take him out, but I lead the music and need to be available to lead the rest hymn/closing hymn, etc.) As Walker was walking out with Corbin, Corbs looks back at me, waves, and yells, "See ya!" Most of the congregation heard him. I just shake my head.
He has mastered the talent of climbing into his crib, but he doesn't dare climb out. So, he climbs in the crib a few times every day, and yells for 'dad' or 'binky' until I go get him. When he wakes up in the morning, he always stands at the bottom right corner of his crib, holding his balled-up blanket, sucking on his binky and yelling "dad, dad, daddy!" (I don't know why he yells for dad. I am almost always the one to get him out of his crib. He knows how to say 'mom'. Whatever.). If he is in a particularly impatient mood, he will throw his blanket and binky overboard, then start yelling longingly for them.
And last but not least, he burned his right thumb on a stove-top burner. I was getting something out of the top shelf, so I needed my stepstool. I was up on the stool and Walker was making noodles. He had just taken the pan off of the burner to drain the water, and was at the sink. I didn't notice that Corbs had climbed up behind me on the stool, and he reached out and touched the burner without us noticing until it was too late. He was a good sport and only cried for a few minutes.
We love our Corb-ers! He is so crazy and so much fun.
